Moreover, the simplistic nature of an imageboard limits the types of data that can be posted (texts and images). This cuts down the cost of data transmission, allowing users of Fatechan to stay up to date with the latest posts even in the farthest reaches of the world.

The site sparked plenty of clones and copycats, but the original holds some weight due to being the first fan site to generate traffic in the post apocalypse. In order to make up for the lack of a proper internet, HHS also collects its media into anthologies and collections that it packages in physical or digital releases. These are then shipped to other nomadic cities, turning the site into something of a global phenomenon and more of a publishing house than anything else.

Currently, the website’s printing house is located in Alexandria, who have agreed to provide distribution services in exchange for a small cut in profits of any successful sales.
